Don’t Miss Trick or Treat on Mainstreet This Halloween!

If you’re looking for a safe and fun Halloween activity for your space rangers, princesses and goblins this year, you don’t have to look any farther than Mainstreet in Parker.

Trick or Treat on Mainstreet has become an annual tradition since the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker first started sponsoring it in 2007.  It’s also grown immensely as hundreds of youth in their favorite costumes head to downtown for candy and entertainment.

The free fun begins at O’Brien Park in Old Town Parker at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.

Many of the shop owners along East Mainstreet and in the Baskin Robbins shopping center will have candy and treats for all the friendly or ghostly visitors who stop by. There will also be horse-drawn wagon rides, carnival-type games and three different inflatables. And local groups will provide a variety of entertainment – every half hour, beginning at 4:30 p.m. – at the Rotary booth at Pikes Peak and Mainstreet.

The CCV Rotary Club sponsors Trick or Treat on Mainstreet to thank the Parker community for supporting its annual fund-raising efforts, which include the Smokin’ Brew BBQ every Labor Day weekend. The fall event also gives the area’s businesses a great opportunity to thank the community for supporting them as well.

So get your children dressed up in their scariest, sweetest or strongest-looking costumes and head down to Mainstreet this Halloween. Heck, you might even want to get dressed up too!  And don’t forget your camera. You’re sure to want to take some photos of all the fun.

By the way, Parker Police will be on hand to help with traffic and to keep everyone safe. It’s a great way to have a safe and fun Halloween in Parker.
