2017 Parker Christmas Carriage Parade

Please view our highlight video at –Parker Christmas Carriage Parade

Welcome to the 2017 Christmas Carriage Parade! Parker began as a Way Station and Post Office for stagecoaches and travelers in the 1860’s. One building was called The 20 Mile House because it was 20 miles of horse, wagon and game trails from Parker to Denver. It is in the nostalgia of that tradition that the Parker Christmas Carriage Parade took hold in 1984 and has continued every year since. The Parade is held annually on the second Saturday of December. No motor vehicles are used in the Parade.

The Parker Christmas Carriage Parade started back in 1984 and was originally sponsored by the Parker Chamber of Commerce. Dean and Lynn Salisbury were the people in charge of the parade and they began the tradition because Dean loved to drive horse carriages. The tradition has continued for last 33 years! There are no motorized vehicles allowed during the parade and the last carriage is ALWAYS Santa Claus.

Parker is rich in history and offers something for everyone – from parks and recreation, historic downtown, hiking and biking trails, cultural events at our acclaimed PACE Center and easy access to downtown Denver.

Parker is the perfect blend of history and future innovation.

Parker is located on the Rocky Mountain Front Range, and six of Colorado’s 54 Fourteeners can be seen from almost anywhere in town. We sit at 5900 ft in elevation and are known for beautiful snow capped Rocky Mountains as a backdrop for the bright blue sky. That is something that one never grows tired of seeing for about 300 days a year.

Osgood Team Real Estate located on Mainstreet live streamed the Christmas Carriage Parade for the first time in order to provide this wonderful tradition to those that were unable to attend in person. One of the things we most love to support about Parker is its Spirit of Community, and the Christmas Carriage Parade is one of the many things Parker does throughout the year to continue the tradition of a Western Small Town Feel even though we are a very popular and growing community. Parker’s western beginnings and continued equestrian traditions are celebrated here.

The Parker Christmas Carriage Parade is a valued tradition held annually in downtown Parker in celebration of the holiday season. The Town of Parker and the Colorado Driving Society present this exciting event on the second Saturday of December each year and the parade is free to attend.

Thank you so much to all that attended this fabulous event!! From all of us at Osgood Team Real Estate, have a safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
