Do you wish you could be in New Orleans for this year’s Mardi Gras, but are too busy to make the trip?  Are you trying to come up with a unique way to show your loved one how much you care this Valentine’s Day?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, the Parker-based Council of Arts, Science and Culture (CASC) might be able to give you a night on the town you’re sure to remember – without the expense of airfares and hotel rooms.

It is holding its Second Annual Mardi Gras Gala and Fundraiser on Feb. 14, 2015, at the Marriott Denver South at Park Meadows, 10345 Park Meadows Drive in Lone Tree.

Following last year’s successful event at Parker’s Black Bear Country Club, the 2015 gala will be even better with some new interactive activities, such as costume contests and dancing to live music from Weekend Medicine. There will also be feathers, beads and masks, games, door prizes, and live and silent auctions.

And since it’s the same day as Valentine’s Day, why not grab your significant other, put on a Mardi Gras mask and help a good cause? It’ll be a Valentine’s date you’re sure to remember.

This is one of two cultural events held each year to benefit the Council, which, as the former Parker Arts Council, has brought community theatre and musical performances to the Parker area over the last 10 years and is working to add new cultural and science programs.

“We are expanding our reach as an organization and are very excited to be having our Mardi Gras II event held in the growing city of Lone Tree. We anticipate that our reach will be well received and we look forward to bringing many of our organizational youth programs to this area,” according to CASC President Jeff Fox.

A limited number of early bird tickets are being sold for Mardi Gras II – at $40 per person, which includes dinner, one drink, beads, masks and two extra door prize entries. Tables also are available for groups of 10 for $375, which includes dinner for 10, one drink each, beads, masks and 20 extra door prize ticket entries.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. The council invites you to “party ’til the midnight hour, if you dare!”

Tickets are available online at www.coloradocasc.com
