With the holidays just around the corner, it’s a good time to think about others. For me, it’s also a good time to think about recycling.
Combine those two ideas – thinking of others and recycling – and you’ll find a great program known as Project Re-Cycle.
Located in my backyard in Douglas County, Colo., Project Re-Cycle takes used bikes, fixes them up and makes them available to those who need them. How cool is that?
Wouldn’t it be great to clean out the garage and get rid of those unused bikes? You can drop them off at any of four Tony’s Markets, which are Project Re-Cycle’s year-round donation sites.
Maybe you’re more interested in volunteering or you know of an organization that could use the refurbished bikes. They’d love to hear from you too.
They can use all the help they can get in their mission of making “sure every child, as far as we can reach, has access to a bicycle.”
Check it out at project-recycle. Tell them that this Parker real estate agent who loves recycling sent you.
