Are you tired of answering your door and finding a salesman? Residents of Parker, Colo., have a great resource to get rid of those salesmen – a “Do Not Solicit” list.

If you are a Parker resident and don’t want commercial solicitors coming to your door, you can request that your home address be placed on this list.  To add your name, all you have to do is complete an online registration form and submit it to the Town Clerk’s office.

You will be placed on the list within 30 days after the registration form is received by the Town.

In Parker, companies that apply for and receive a peddler/solicitor license are allowed to conduct door-to-door sales within the Town’s limits. These solicitors will have an official Parker badge that should be visible at all times.

If you are on the Town’s “Do Not Solicit” list and receive commercial solicitations, you can report violations by calling the Town Clerk’s Office at 303.805.3198.

Those exempt from the ordinance are:

  • Individuals delivering newspapers, milk, bread, firewood and farm produce,
  • Individuals whose activities advocate civic, religious, charitable or political causes,
  • Companies that have a franchise agreement with the Town,
  • Members of a nationally-recognized non-profit organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, who participating in fundraising events,
  • School children engaging in school-authorized or sponsored fundraising activities.
