welcome to parker home of the 2013 solheim cup sign at entrance to townThe Town of Parker is back among the best small cities or towns to live in the U.S. WalletHub.Com recently announced its ranking of the Town as #19 on its list of “Best Small Cities in America” for 2015.

The Town has previously been listed on the Money magazine’s list of Best Places to Live in America, including in 2013 when it was #12 among small towns across the U.S. with populations of 10,000 to 50,000.

WalletHub analysts looked at 1,268 cities with population sizes between 25,000 and 100,000 residents, and compared the communities by 22 different metrics across four key categories: Affordability, Economic Health, Education and Health and Quality of Life.

In releasing its report, WalletHub noted “America’s little towns commonly attract newcomers or returnees for the same reasons: tighter communities, less competition, shorter commutes and an actual backyard with a white picket fence.

“And from a purely financial standpoint, living in a small city creates a sense of greater wealth because of cheaper cost of living – one of the main draws for in-movers, especially those seeking to raise a family.

According to WalletHub, life in a small city demands some tradeoffs such as shorter business hours, a heavier reliance on cars and fewer dating opportunities,” so WalletHub’s analysts wanted to find the best small cities where “residents don’t have to
give up much.”

Of course, those of use who have lived here for any length of time know what a great place this is to live and raise our children. We don’t feel like we are giving up much of anything to live in this great Denver suburb, which offers everything from great schools and recreational facilities to close proximity to the Rocky Mountains.

The top 50 of WalletHub’s list also included Littleton at # 2 and Lafayette # 48. If you’d like to learn more about the study, visit https://wallethub.com/edu/best-worst-small-cities-to-live-in/16581/
