As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, people start to think about holding garage sales after they begin the process of cleaning out their basements and garages.

But those who live within the Town of Parker should be aware of the Town’s sign code, which allows for “limited duration and temporary signs.”

According to the Town, garage sale signs are allowed in the right-of-way for a limited period of time under the following conditions:

  1. A maximum of four signs are permitted per residential lot.
  2. The signs may only be posted beginning at noon on Thursdays through 7 p.m. on the following Sunday.
  3. The signs may not exceed 5 square feet per face and 4 feet in height.
  4. The signs cannot be attached to public utility poles, traffic and other directional signs, vehicles, utility boxes, fences, other structures or trees.
  5. The signs cannot be placed in medians, roadways, shoulders or bike paths/lanes.
  6. Signs must be located 50 feet from all intersections and at least 6 feet from the edge of the roadway.
  7. Signs must be located at least 10 feet from any other garage sale sign.

And if you happen to be looking for signs – but don’t want to make the investment – the Osgood Team has garage sale signs that you can borrow. Just give us a call at 303.810.5757 or email us at [email protected].

Happy cleaning and selling!!
